Nomeo & Juliet

As hard as I try as a mother to watch everything at least once (or at least snippets of it over my shoulder) a time or two one slips by… First there was “My babysitter is a Vampire” which came on pretty darn early… 7pm I think and right after a kid show so I think it was on for 10 minutes or so before I realized what they were watching. Really? And they STILL beg to see that stupid show. But without a doubt the funniest was Gnomeo and Juliet. I bought it at Wal-Mart and popped it in the DVD player for Hannah. She was VERY quiet for our long drive then out of the silence I hear a huge GASP “HE BROKE!” For those of you who have not seen the show Gnomeo and Juliet are garden gnomes hence I am guessing poor Gnomeo bit the dust. I still haven’t watched the movie but the girls still watch it over and over and over and haven’t gotten sick of it since.

OMG!

I couldn’t help myself. Katie and I went school supply and new clothes shopping. We didn’t want to leave Hannah out so we picked up a couple dresses for her. When Katie pulled the dress out of the bag Hannah squealed OMG! It is SO adorable. We were CRACKING up. Just like a little valley girl. Too funny on a 4 year old.

Hoppy Easter!

This was a fun year. Hannah is old enough to really hunt and this is the first year she didn’t have a green hand dying the eggs! ha ha! For Katie she was so excited she could hardly sleep. She informed us she heard the Easter Bunny hopping around downstairs and even sounded out the sound his little paws made hopping on our floor. We couldn’t believe it! And yes of course he brought their favorite candy “jolly ranchers” amongst other assorted goodies. And for the finally yes, EGG WARS!!! So far the blue egg reigns…

Visit with Santa at the M Farm!

Our good friend has an annual tradition at her house to have a Christmas party and invite Santa. Santa has worked with Mommy during a breakfast with Santa last year so he was kind enough to come to our friends house last year and this year. The girls get so excited that he remembers them, knows about what they did for their birthdays etc. He’s the REAL deal!

Hannah’s New Haircut

I hear crying from the other room as I work on my desktop. I hear John saying Mommy won’t be mad, you can tell her. And in he comes with Hannah and her new haircut. I bit my tongue needless to say but later when she showed me where she had cut it, hidden behind the dinning room table where no one could see her it was clearly not a case of impulsiveness at the craft table. Hmmm… What to do? A little Karma lesson may be in store for her… No candy only meat since protein helps the hair grown back I think should do it. ; )
