First Day of School 3 years old

The week before school started H and I took a little trip to Wilmington before school.  She loves horses so loved taking the carriage ride around town. Then we found this cute little shop with just about every candy known to man!  I would say that and the ice cream made for a great last Mommy day!

The girls and I were sitting watching SpongBob Square Pants when the Bubble Popping Gang comes on in a very Broadway snapping way.  Hannah announces I like them.  I like the bad guys.  I ask “why?” Hannah “Because they look cool.”

Such a fun day.  It brings back all my memories of college which I think for most of us were some of the best times of our lives.   Lacey is so bright I know she will be successful anywhere at any of these schools!  Here are just some of the pics from the day.

We had a great week having Uncle Caid and Cousin D in town.  On our last day we took a trip to the zoo.  All the kiddos including us big kids had a great time!

A little improptu slip n slide party at the neighbors. SO MUCH FUN!  And even Sunny got to join in!

Ever since they have been advertising the Smurfs movie on TV H has been obsessed with the Smurfs.  So when she saw you could get them at build a bear off we went!

What a fun trip for everyone.  The kids had a ball, the guys got to surf and even the Mommies got a night break.  We LOVE it here too.

We were so proud of her.  She really loves swim team and cares so much that her team wins.  She was so excited when she got this award.  Although it’s kind of funny because we had to explain to her what the MVP award was and then she was super excited that she helped her team so much.

I had scheduled this shoot fairly last minute knowing Katie was going to lose her top tooth or even both teeth very soon.  I sprung it on John the day before.  His only request for Father’s Day, that he didn’t have to be in the shoot! ha! So I told the girls the shoot was a surprise for Daddy for  Father’s Day.  Guess that qualifies under the white lie category!

One day after picking Katie and her friend up at the bus stop we decided to head out to our favorite farm and go blueberry picking.  Good friends good times.

One of Daniel’s favorite things to do is come and go strawberry picking with us.  This time even Uncle Douglas joined in the fun! Yum.

First beach trip of the summer.  Easter weekend.

The girls absolutely love going to the beach for Easter.  It’s always the perfect time of year for it.  Daddy actually got a little surfing in too!

Always a favorite – the dying of the eggs. How H always manages to get green hands I just don’t know!

Just a trip with H and I to the life and science museum.  How can you not love the butterfly house and dinosaur walk!

We had such a great time in Aruba.  Perfect weather, the water so clear and blue.  We LOVED IT!  See some of Hannah’s comments below. Too funny.  The girls will tell you their favorite things were the birds.  Katie’s first comment was “I LOVE IT HERE! The animals talk!”  Our new dog I believe was named after Hannah’s favorite bird Sunny.

“Mommy, I don’t want to change in there.  I want to go to the Pent House.”  Hannah referring to not wanting to put her bathing suit on in the restroom by the pool and wanting to go back to our hotel room. And NO not the pent house.  ha!

Late in December we decided to venture out to the outdoor skating rink and give it a whirl.
