So proud… With Hannah being a little on the shy side I was so proud for her to get up in front of all of her classmates AND PARENTS and tell the whole room what we were doing for our great pumpkin experiments. She’s really coming out of her shell. (At least in public) She’s ALL out at home!
Well we were a little too late this year… It was a little bedraggled but other than not finding a lot of nice pumpkins they LOVED everything else!
Our annual pumpkin carving tradition…. Sad my children refuse to even comb their hair or get out of their pajamas but it sure was fun!
Finally Hannah has hit the big leagues! They now BOTH love to ride the scary rides but the balloon game where you automatically with the free stuffed animal is still the all time favorite with snow cones coming in a near 2nd place. For Daddy and I? Definitely the food!
Well there aren’t any pictures of the haunted house since they went a little late and it was the scary teenager version by then. Hannah never quite recovered from the wolf jumping out at her. 😉 Tough to be little. The other took just knocked them out! 😛
Um… Now when did I get that old??? I think these candles MUST be wrong!
We technically did this the last day of September. The girls just couldn’t STAND IT any longer! :0)

Hi Ms. McKinney,
I wanted to share something wonderful that happened today….Hannah wanted to share (“publish”) one of her writings with the class, but she wanted me to read it aloud for her. I told her that she would have to be the one to read it to the class, just like the other students. She decided she did not want to do that! I told her that was fine and whenever she felt comfortable, to let me know. It didn’t even have to be today..or next week…just whenever she was ready. Well, during recess she came to me and said she really wanted to share. “Will you help me?”, she asked. I replied “Of course I will! I will be right beside you the whole time!” and we had a heart to heart talk about being nervous in front of others. My daughter was exactly the same way! Hannah told me that she would think about it during lunch and get back to me. Well….she did it! She stood in front of the class and read a story that she wrote! I am beyond proud of her and I knew you would be, too! 🙂

In the car with the girls Hannah busted out and wanting to know how babies are made. Katie immediately shrieked with horror as Hannah asked how they were made. As I began to tell her Katie was begging and pleading for me not to talk about it. But of course I do. But I say to Hannah they just give each other a very special hug and that the hug is a very special hug and very private. A huge sigh of relief resounds from Katie. So a week later we get in the car with Katie and Hannah wants to know more about this very special hug. Katie is still hiding her face behind her hands in horror. You just have to laugh.
If there was any question as to how funny and how witty Hannah is I now have a visual representation for you!

They had a little fireworks show at the barn where the girls ride and so of course we HAD to go!! Hannah stayed in the suburban with John most of the time because they kind of misfired into the crowd once or twice so she was done after that! Katie on the other hand had to be practicaly dragged away!
They loved camp so much they went back for a 2nd week!! 
I think it’s really all the junk food that motivates them to swim!
