Sadly I got NO pictures other than of the CD we were laughing our heads off (that would be Lacey and I) while Michelle and Katie just shook their heads. Clearly we had lost our minds. Here’s a little script from Facebook though that should shed some light on our New Years. AND NO, there was no alcohol involved. Sadly this was all JUST us. I think I have video but it is SUPER embarrassing! And Katie’s comment for the night “Now I know why kids are embarrassed of their parents.”
Uncle Douglas is such a good Uncle. He told the girls a long time ago about how our Dad made us stilts when we were little. They were SOOO excited. They haven’t quite mastered them yet but their getting better! Great to see the cousins.
Christmas at the McKinney’s is always fun but we missed Zach who had the flu. The girls were very excited about their stuffies. They were very into bunnies and penguins this year. But the big hit was the surprise roller skates! They had to immediately put them on and start stumbling around. I am happy to report they can both now roller skate.

As usual the girls were terribly excited waiting for Santa. We had to turn on the Santa tracker at about 5pm so it was a long wait for bedtime with numerous checks as to where Santa was in the world. Some of the goodies from Christmas were Furbies, a new bunk bed, a mini iPad and an American girl doll amongst many others!
Oh Santa! He’s so good to us. And so if our dear friend B who hosts an annual Christmas party where we can all get together and enjoy the season. The kids loved it and although they are getting older Santa AMAZED them with some of his Christmas magic. Although Katie cracked me up when I saw her tug Santa’s beard to check if it was real. ha ha! And yes I caught it. See below.
Hannah as always was very shy and wanted to hide in the background but as usual at the end Santa coaxed her out for a little hug. 🙂 Thanks Santa!
Since the poor church they do their Christmas celebration in is so terribly dark I still volunteer to come shoot it. The girls loved this pre-school so much they STILL ask to go back on their breaks. So coming to the Christmas party was one of the highlights of their Christmas break. 
Katie this year wanted a fashion party for her birthday. Really she got a weekend at Great Wolfe Lodge with a friend but we still had a little party regardless. No fashion party is complete without make overs and a photo-shoot so we dressed up with boa’s and wore our fanciest dressed and modeled away. The girls had a great time.
This is Daddy and the girls tradition to get the tree. Usually I am shooting a wedding but lucky me I was free this year. They did an EXCELLENT job finding the PERFECT tree.
Hannah just can’t stand to wait to give her presents she gets so excited. And as you can see Katie LOVED her video game membership which Mommy usually outlaws. 😉

I really thought the girls were going to EXPLODE waiting for Chippy and Jingles to arrive. We almost had to fight them to go to Aunt Viki’s for thanksgiving. Even though I reminded them a thousand times that they don’t come till the day AFTER thanksgiving which we would be home well in time. They made their appearance and had fun hiding from the girls each day until they had to return to the north pole Christmas Eve. Even Lacey got to enjoy the fun on one of her visits.
As usual the Hamby thanksgiving is full of laughter and smiles not to mention great food. But another fun little benefit is all three girls Katie, Hannah & Taylor have birthdays within a week of Thanksgiving so they always get a little birthday party bonus! Happy birthday girls!
I always love Katie’s school plays. It’s so great to watch them get all dressed up and show themselves off. This one showed how thanksgiving was started and became a tradition. Too cute!
Fairies have become HUGE at our house with the discovery of a little fairy named Bella that visits us regularly. So Hannah of course HAD to have a fairy party! And Bella even brought tiny fairy items to have a scavenger hunt and all the girls dressed in fairy costumes. Too cute.
I am not even sure what to say… All I can say is Hannah is SO funny and has all of her Daddy’s wit and she shows it in different ways on a daily basis. If she could get over some of her shyness she could rule any room!
Halloween is by far my favorite holiday. It used to be Christmas but for some reason I guess you get all the fun of decorating and making it special without all the stress of traveling and trying to be 100 places at one time. As is tradition we had our good friends the Stones over for the fun. And one of our neighbor friends from swim team. The more the merrier! Or would that be ‘scarier’! 😉
Another one of my favorite Halloween activities. A pretty warm day so it made it a no mess activity which is even better and Cousin Lacey was home to join in too!
Hannah just couldn’t stand to wait to carve her pumpkin after we left the farmer’s market with our huge hall. So I let her carve just a little one to get her by till a little closer to Halloween. 🙂
One of my absolute favorites. I just get so tickled at the girls riding the rides and playing the games. Oh and the snacks aren’t bad either. We were bad and checked the girls out a little early from school so we didn’t have to fight the crowds. 🙂 Lacey joined us this year for the fun!

Hannah’s first kindergarten field trip. And who knew but to our favorite place! And and even bigger surprise Lacey’s roommate’s pig Hamlet was there as well. Fun for all!
My sweet baby gave me this after I went out of town for the weekend to help a friend. Katie truly has the biggest heart.
