First beach trip of the summer.  Easter weekend.

The girls absolutely love going to the beach for Easter.  It’s always the perfect time of year for it.  Daddy actually got a little surfing in too!

Always a favorite – the dying of the eggs. How H always manages to get green hands I just don’t know!

Just a trip with H and I to the life and science museum.  How can you not love the butterfly house and dinosaur walk!

We had such a great time in Aruba.  Perfect weather, the water so clear and blue.  We LOVED IT!  See some of Hannah’s comments below. Too funny.  The girls will tell you their favorite things were the birds.  Katie’s first comment was “I LOVE IT HERE! The animals talk!”  Our new dog I believe was named after Hannah’s favorite bird Sunny.

“Mommy, I don’t want to change in there.  I want to go to the Pent House.”  Hannah referring to not wanting to put her bathing suit on in the restroom by the pool and wanting to go back to our hotel room. And NO not the pent house.  ha!

Late in December we decided to venture out to the outdoor skating rink and give it a whirl.

Little H helping me to pick out the Mighty Pumpkin for halloween. Clearly she wasn’t up for getting dressed that day.

Mommy, after winning at the matching game. “I am more proud of you for being a good sport than if you won.” K, “I know. I never cry when I lose with my friends because I know it will make them feel bad and they will let me win.” WOW.

One of my favorite things is Katie’s TUESDAY folder.  It contains all the goodies she has done in school that week.  My absolute favorite is the read her writings.  Here are a few of my favorites and two from her best friend in class.

I thought this was so funny.  Here are the texts I got from Katie’s friends Mom on her first sleepover.  It was a while back but I have been saving it in my phone to post when I had time.  Too funny!

My friend who is so kind to share her baby chics with us for a photoshoot when she gets them allowed us to come over again this year.   The kids had a ball as usual then went to play on the swings afterwards.  It made for a great afternoon!

Isn’t she just precious.  And she has learned to copy Katie’s modeling poses. Cracks me up!  But isn’t she just beautiful.  I know I am prejudice. Can’t help it…

They had field day at Katie’s school.  How much fun.  They had so many cool games and they would switch them out.  Hannah and I popped in to watch and loved watching.  Turns out Katie has some speed too!

Finally spring is here!  March madness…

I just LOVE seeing Katie’s art work and notes.  I have many more I need to post but here are a few for now.  :  )  A couple are Hannah too.

I am catching up on my blogging.  Cold in January Hannah & I made it out at least once to the museum.  This is absolutely Hannah’s favorite museum. She could probably go everyday if you let her.  She calls it the Boo Boo Dinosaur museum because there is a big TRex and Diploducas and they show a film where the TRex bites the Diploducas’ leg.  Hence the boo boo dinosaur.

I had explained to Hannah that morning all the different holidays and what we do on them.  Of course I explained St. Patrick’s Day and told her it would be the next holiday we would celebrate.  In this discussion I also told her that you MUST wear green or you will get pinched.  Poor baby, after she woke up from her nap the first thing she did is start pulling out all her clothes going “I can’t find anything green! I’m gonna get pinched!”  Don’t worry. Mommy found her something green.

It is the wee hours of the morning as Hannah is still an early riser.  We are in the living room sitting on the couch trying to decide what to play and she looks at me and says with a little smirk, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”  My response.  “I don’t know.  What are you thinking?” Hannah, “I’m thinking let’s have a party!” And we did.  ;  )

Well Santa was good to the girls as usual.  It’s always so much fun to see what they get excited about.  Grandpa’s jeep was the biggest hit  and the 2nd biggest hit was the huge diamonds in their stockings.  But really it was a tough call.  They got a lot of fun things.  We LOVED the marshmellow guns we got from the cousins although I am not sure who liked them more the kids or the adults. But more on that on my next post.  For now it’s Christmas morning!

We saw Santa at the fun factory but we determined he was actually an elf helping Santa as you will see the REAL Santa in a later post!!!
